Here at Fenns Meadow Green Burial we require that a biodegradable coffin, shroud or urn is used.
Coffins.
As we are a Green Burial Ground we ask that you have an Eco friendly coffin. So you can chose from Wicker, Bamboo, Paper, Cardboard or why not try Wool? Below are some companies that can help with this.
Shrouds.
There are a range of shrouds that are available now, the woollen ones are particularly special.
Urns.
Below are a wide range of Urns for you to choose from. Again, there are Wicker Urns or some beautiful Wooden Urns or why not try a stunning Paper Urn in the shape of an acorn?
Creative Coffins
Creative Coffins offer a wide range of incredibly decorative cardboard coffins. They are happy to create a new design if you can't find exactly what you want.
Creative Coffins are predominantly made from a mixture of recycled cardboard and paper. They maintain their shape using corn starch glue and print your requested design onto them using a collection of environmentally friendly inks.

They have a wide range of beautiful designs and styles of coffins and caskets which can be used for Burials or Cremation.

Bellacouche
Bellacouche, creates products that are made from entirely natural materials which will in time fully convert back to soil. Their range of soft coffins, pure wool shrouds and wool felt funeral urns are all hand crafted.
The Leafcocoon coffin and the Oseberg Cradle coffin are both complete alternatives to a conventional wooden coffin, suitable for traditional & natural burials.
The Oseberg Cradle is also suitable for cremation.
Delivery will normally take 2 to 5 days, to anywhere in the UK, either direct to your funeral director or your own address.
Eco Pods
The Ecopod is a beautiful design of coffin that brings together artisan skills with style, elegance and a respect for the environment.
Made by hand from recycled newspapers and finished with paper made from 100% mulberry pulp, it is available in a range of colours with and without screen printed motifs, plain white, or gold.
The Ecopod is suitable for cremation, or burial in natural burial sites and biodegrades naturally over time when placed in the ground. Their unique strap and handle system make it especially easy for families to carry at a funeral, and participate more fully in the ceremony. Strong and light the Ecopod weighs approximately 18 kilos.
Each coffin is supplied with a calico mattress, straps and carrying handles. As an optional extra, the walls of the interior can also be lined with feathers in a choice of colours, including white, red, cream or pale blue.
ARKA Acorn Urns
Acorn Urns have a specially designed lid and base made from moulded recycled kraft and paper, with the stalk of the lid made from a twist of tissue paper.
They are finished with paper made from mulberry pulp and supplied individually boxed.
Made in the UK, the close fitting lid makes the Acorn Urn ideal for the storage, or burial of ashes.
Light weight (approx 260g) and fully biodegradable, the urn base stands 22cm tall with a 19cm diameter top. Volume of 4 litres.
